Author'S Note
ear Friends,
I have had so much fun revisiting the world of the Wallflowers! Writing A Wallflower Christmas allowed me to spend some time with familiar characters, get a glimpse into their ongoing lives, and also to "meet" Rafe Bowman and allow his story to unfold as my imagination dictated.
One of the things I love about writing historical romances is being able to create larger-than-life characters with intense emotions and full-blooded passions. When I turned to the new and exciting challenge of writing contemporary romantic fiction, I wanted to bring the same intensity to a modern-day setting. After all, people have always had the same hopes, fears, dreams, and desires, no matter what century they were born in.
It has been such a rewarding and fulfilling experience to create the world of the Travis family in my Texas trilogy. Sugar Daddy is a modern-day Cinderella story featuring a spirited and tenacious heroine named Liberty Jones. My next contemporary, Blue-Eyed Devil, followed the personal journey of Haven Travis, who encounters danger and desire as she falls in love with her family's enemy. And in the forthcoming Smooth Talking Stranger, ladies' man Jack Travis meets his match in the fiery and opinionated Ella Varner.
If you have enjoyed my Wallflower series, I hope you'll give my contemporary romantic fiction a try. Whether a hero rides a horse or drives a car, or whether a heroine finds herself in the ballroom or the boardroom, a romance novel has the same elements we all treasure... emotion, passion, and the satisfaction of experiencing a love that conquers all obstacles. Thank you for your encouragement and support and for allowing me to share my thoughts and dreams with you.
Wishing you happiness always,
